Friendly guidance for getting started after signing up

Welcome to SafeKeep. You have just taken a meaningful step toward feeling more organised, prepared, and confident about the future. This guide will walk you through the first few things to do after signing up so you can make the most of your account.

1. Log in and explore your dashboard

Go to https://app.mysafekeep.com/login and log in. Your dashboard is where you will see your Safe progress, recent documents, and helpful suggestions for what to do next.

It is designed to feel calm, clear, and easy to use.

2. Upload your first document

Start by adding something important. This could be:

A will
A passport or ID
An insurance policy
A financial record
A power of attorney

Just click Add document, choose a category, and follow the steps to upload. SafeKeep helps you sort and store each file in a way that makes sense.

3. Add document expiry dates

If a document has an expiry or renewal date, you can add it directly to your document by editing your document, or, if you are on an Essential Plan or higher, you may use the SafeKeep AI auto extraction tool which may auatomtically add this date for you. SafeKeep will automatically send you a reminder before that date arrives, so you stay ahead of renewals without having to track them yourself.

There is no need to manually create a reminder. We will take care of it for you.

4. Invite a Legacy Contact

A Legacy Contact is someone you trust to access your Safe when the time comes. This could be a spouse, adult child, close friend, or legal representative.

To add one:

Go to Connected Users
Click Legacy Contacts
Enter their email address

They will receive a secure invitation and simple instructions to accept. You can update or remove Legacy Contacts at any time.

5. Explore other features

As you get familiar with your account, you may want to:

Use smart tags and folders to keep things organised
Set up an authenticator app for added security
Turn on biometric access in the mobile app for quicker sign-ins

You do not need to do everything at once. Start small, and build your Safe over time. Every step you take adds clarity for yourself and those you care about.
