How SafeKeep AI reads and fills out document details

Auto-fill helps you save time by automatically extracting important information from your uploaded documents, using secure AI-powered technology.

Here’s how it works and what you need to know.

Powered by Google Gemini

When you upload a document and select its document type, you’ll be given the option to auto-fill key fields using SafeKeep’s trusted AI partner, Google Gemini. This AI is designed with high levels of security and privacy, so no one else can access or view your personal data.

We chose Google Gemini for its strong reputation in handling sensitive information safely and accurately.

Smart extraction with mapped fields

Auto-fill only works if you’ve selected a specific document type. This is because SafeKeep has carefully mapped the fields that matter most for each type of document — such as policy numbers, expiry dates, or contact information.

Once auto-fill runs, the AI will scan your uploaded file and automatically complete these fields for you, based on the content it finds.

Look for the AI icon

After extraction, the completed fields will appear within your document record. Any field filled in by AI will be marked with a small AI icon, so you can clearly see which details were generated.

Always double-check

While Google Gemini is highly accurate, no AI is perfect. It’s important to review and edit the fields before saving to make sure all information is correct. You can edit any field manually at any time.

Available on Essentials and Premium plans

Auto-fill is only available for users on the Essentials and Premium plans. If you’re on the Basic plan, you’ll need to upgrade to access this feature.
