How to upgrade or downgrade your plan
How to change plans and what happens next
You can manage your SafeKeep plan at any time from within your account settings. Whether you’re upgrading for more features or downgrading to simplify, it’s designed to be clear, flexible, and in your control.
How to change your plan
- Log in to SafeKeep on the web app
- Go to your account settings
- Select the Subscription and billing section
- From here, you can view your current plan and select either Upgrade or Change plan
Upgrading your plan
To upgrade, simply select the Upgrade option next to the plan you want. You’ll be taken through a secure checkout process. Once completed, your account will be upgraded right away and you’ll get instant access to the features of your new plan.
Downgrading your plan
If you wish to downgrade, you’ll first be asked to check that your account fits within the new plan’s limits. This includes:
- The number of legacy contacts
- Your total secure storage usage
If you’re over either of these, you’ll need to update your account to bring it in line with the plan you want to move to. Once your account is within the correct limits, you can confirm the downgrade.
Downgrades are scheduled to take effect at the end of your current billing period. For example, if you are on the Essentials plan and move to Basic with 14 days left in your cycle, you will remain on Essentials for those 14 days, and then automatically move to Basic at the end of that time.
Your billing will be adjusted automatically and any changes will be reflected in your next invoice.
