SafeKeep isn’t working as expected: What to check for
What to try first when something isn’t working right
If SafeKeep isn’t behaving the way it should, there are a few simple things you can check before reaching out to support. These steps solve most common issues and get you back on track quickly.
1. Check your internet connection
A weak or interrupted connection can stop features from loading properly, especially when uploading files or saving changes. Try switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data, or vice versa, and refresh the page or app.
2. Refresh your browser or restart the app
Sometimes a simple refresh is all that’s needed. If you’re using the web platform, reload the page. If you’re using the mobile app, close it fully and reopen.
3. Make sure you’re using a supported device or browser
SafeKeep works best with modern browsers like Chrome, Safari, or Edge. If you’re using an older browser or a beta version, try switching to a standard version.
On mobile, make sure your app is fully updated through the App Store or Google Play.
4. Try clearing your browser cache
If you’re on the web and seeing layout issues or getting stuck on a page, clearing your browser’s cache can help fix stored errors.
5. Check for system messages or banners
Sometimes SafeKeep will display a banner or message letting you know about known issues, maintenance periods, or required updates. Look for any notices at the top of your screen.
6. Make sure permissions are enabled
If something like document uploads, camera use, or notifications aren’t working, check that your device has granted SafeKeep the right permissions in your settings.
7. Try again in a few minutes
Very occasionally, features may be briefly unavailable while we release an update. These are rare and usually resolved quickly.
