Upload tips for best results

To make sure your documents are easy to read, well organised, and ready for features like smart sorting or auto-extraction, follow these simple best practices:

  • Make sure all scanned or photographed documents are clear and in focus

Blurry or shadowed images may be hard to read and can cause errors in extraction

  • Avoid uploading documents that are cut off, crooked, or partially visible

Try to include the full page and crop out unnecessary background

  • When photographing documents, use even lighting and lay them flat
  • For multi-page documents, keep the pages in order and check that nothing is missing
  • Use descriptive names when saving files so they are easy to identify once uploaded

Uploading from the web

When using the web platform, you can upload multiple documents at once. You will be able to:

  • Select the document type for each file
  • Organise them into folders
  • Use auto-extraction if available on your plan

This is a fast way to add a batch of documents during your setup.

Uploading from the mobile app

On mobile, you can:

  • Upload multiple files from your device
  • Take photos of several documents in one session using your camera

After uploading or capturing images, you will be able to confirm and review before saving each one.

Uploading documents to SafeKeep is designed to be quick and secure, whether you are getting started or adding new items over time. Each file you upload brings you one step closer to feeling more prepared and protected.
