Using document recommendations
How the system suggests what to upload and how to act on it
SafeKeep is here to help you feel more prepared and organised by guiding you through what documents are worth storing. That is where Document Recommendations come in.
From your dashboard, you can access the Recommendations area at any time. It offers a helpful starting point, especially if you are not sure what to upload next.
Where recommendations come from
The SafeKeep team has carefully reviewed the most common documents that people across the country store in their digital filing cabinets. We have organised these into categories to help you understand what is useful, what is often stored, and what might support your loved ones in the future.
Not every document will apply to every person, but the list is there to help you discover what could be important for you to include.
How to access document recommendations
You can access Document Recommendations from your dashboard on both the web app and the mobile app. When you click or tap into this area, you will see a set of document categories with suggested document types listed within them.
Each document suggestion includes a short description and a priority level to help you decide what to focus on first.
Understanding priority levels
Every suggested document is marked as high, medium, or low priority. These levels are based on how commonly these documents are needed in real-life situations and how helpful they are for your family, executor, or legacy contacts.
- High priority documents are often legal, medical, or financial records that may be urgently needed in future scenarios
- Medium priority documents may still be important, but are less likely to be required immediately
- Low priority documents can still be useful, especially for day-to-day organisation or personal reference
All documents have value. A lower priority does not mean it should be ignored. It simply reflects the level of urgency or importance in the context of family access and legacy planning.
Uploading from recommendations
When you find a document you would like to add, simply click or tap on it. You will be taken directly into the upload flow with the document type already selected. From there, you can:
- Choose a folder
- Upload a file or take a photo (on mobile)
- Use AI extraction if your plan includes it
- Once you’ve uploaded your document, you may any relevant information
You can return to the Recommendations area anytime to explore other document types and gradually build out your digital Safe.
Document Recommendations are here to support you in feeling confident that you are storing the right things, in the right place, for the people who may need them most.
