How to find your recovery code in account settings

Where to view, manage, and store your SafeKeep recovery code

Your recovery code is a secure, one-time-use backup that can help you regain access to your SafeKeep account if you lose your usual two-factor authentication method. You’re shown this code during onboarding, but you can also view or regenerate it later from your account settings.

Where to find your recovery code

To view your existing recovery code:

1. Log in to your SafeKeep account via the web platform
2. Go to Account settings
3. Select Security
4. Scroll to the Recovery code section
5. You’ll be asked to confirm your identity before the code is shown

Once confirmed, your recovery code will appear. You’ll only see it once per view, so make sure to copy and store it securely.

Important notes

• You can only have one active recovery code at a time
• If you generate a new code, the old one becomes invalid
• Treat your recovery code like a password, don’t share it with anyone
